This article talk about historical movie related in Mexican history. There is a movie about Korean history in Korea. The name is "May 18". The movie based on the Gwangju democratization movement. It occurred 1980,5,18 when president Chun Doo-hwan tried to eliminate rebels by using military force. I already know this event, but I didn't know details before I watched this movie. After I watched this movie, I could know how did people fight for democracy.

My favorite is "LA VITA E BELLA" is is a movie that talk about concentration camp where the life was very bad and there is a family that try to survive and a little kid that do not know what happen because his father try to hide the truth.

ReplyDeleteI watched a movie called To Live (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/To_Live_%28film%29) in my high school history class. The film is based on Yu Hua's novel To Live. It talks about a man, Xu Fugui, and his life. The story begins in the 1940s and ends during Chinese Cultural Revolution(1966~1976). World War II, Chinese Civil War and some other history events happened in this period. The movie is very realistic and sad. It shows people's lives, and it also tells me what would happen to my grandparents if they did not moved to Taiwan during the civil war. I am so happy that they made a right decision. The film is really sad, but it is so realistic and educational.
