  1. I think is the same. Four years ago was hard getting a job, and in the present is the same thing. Actually in my country you have less chances than here to get a job, and it doesn't matter the major, because getting a job itself that pays enough is a challenge. But 15 years ago it was easier getting a job in your major. I think the economy was better, and somehow there wasn't much competence for jobs related with your major. But i can't explain why is this happening now, because comparing to the past, right now my country have a little bit more hospitals, universities and places to work, but then why are so many people fighting for the jobs? and for studying a career?. For example; the university i want to study only accept 150 students for the major in medicine from 2000 per year. So it's really hard studying in any public university in my country, because in all is the same. Why so many people? why more than before? Has the population increased that much these past 15 years? The same thing with jobs While more people is graduating every year the jobs are not increasing as well. I just don't understand why the government is not doing ANYTHING to fix this, and that's why most of the students in my country, had to study an unpopular major, or wait even 3 years for a university that accepts them, or leave the country. It's a desperate situation.

  2. I don't know how hard it is to get a job in the United States, so I am not sure it is easier or harder. But I believe it is harder than 4 years ago in Taiwan if you want to find a job, which is related to your major. In my country, bachelor's degree is required so lots of students decided to take master's degree or Ph.D. otherwise it is difficult to get a job. On the other hand, if you majored in engineering or you have work experience then it is easy to find a job.

  3. I believe that now in Taiwan is harder to find a job with bachelor's degree than four years ago. Because of economic recession. Also there are too many workers have bachelor degree. Business is not willing to pay higher salary to those employee unless they graduated from a famous university or already had working experience. So some people's job is not relate to their major. They do it just because they can pay the bills. And some people chose to go to grad school so that they could find a job relate to their major or get a better pay. The same situations happened both in the States and in Taiwan. In the near future if the economic didn't recover, it might still be hard to find a suitable job even with a Master degree.
