  1. in this article modern pioneer is somebody who has the faith in jesus as missionary who give the words of jesus to the people.
i think that missionary ar e they individual that leave studies, family, girlfriend or boyfriend to talk about jesus and give the "salvation" to the people.

  2. I think I am one of the "modern-day pioneers." I joined the Church when I was 18 years old(in2000), and my twins brother and I are the only members in my family. Sometimes, people or family question about our religion, but that makes we become more strong in the Church. I love this true church. Randy Lin

  3. In this article we can see how LDS memeber can be a pionners nowadays. Maybe we are not required to sacrifice things that pioneers did, but we should struggle, have faith and progress. For example, Some countries do not have temples, so member should travel for long time and they do not care about it. The only important point is they want to go to the temple. Marjai

  4. In my school back home my brother, another friend and me were members of the church. It was hard for me to make my friends understand my believes and why I did not do certain things. But I can say that thru my example I stood for the church. It was hard sometimes but as I was blessed this became easier to do.

  7. The article talks about several BYU students told their stories how they fight/stand for their religion. Most people misunderstood about the church and some of students were the only member in their hometown. people lost their job when their bosses found out that they are Mormon. Some people even traveled to neighboring to do family sealing. Now each year church has made it easier for members, there are more and more temple in the whole world. End of the article, one of the student shared, he was not brave enough to share with his friends about church, but he could totally be a good example and show other people, he has become a better person because of church.

  8. In the school every year I was the only member of the church and it was difficult because sometimes they don't understand much about my believes. with my example I could show my friends and the other people how the gospel change the people's live.
