It might be interesting to know where did all this events happen. But It is not the most important thing about the book. I believe we can understand well enough just by reading the stories from the book. I also personally believe that the events happen in south america and north america at different times but it covered all the American continent.
ReplyDeleteThe debate is really interesting for many reasons. Principally, sometimes when you read the book of mormon and you finished it, you would want to know more about it. And this debate helps the people who are really interesting to investigate more about it and it is helpful this kind of debates to comprehend better how everything on the book of mormon happen and why is it important to read it. Also, I think that first you have to read the Book and after it you could comment and formulate questions in base of it. I think the debate is a complement of you reading.

ReplyDeleteI think it is important for me because this kind of debates help me to know the geographical context of the Book of Mormon better. It is useful and amazing because it is another testimony that this book is real.
ReplyDeleteI don't care at all, it won't buy my salvation. But, yes it is. In addition it will help to understand the situation, the costumes and habits, the history (spiritual and material). Furthermore, more details will help us to study better the book of mormon.

I agree to understand The Book of Mormon is more important. The Book of Mormon is a way that God wants to communicate with us, and it guides our lives. Therefore, I think to understand The Book of Mormon has a significant meaning to me. Randy Lin

ReplyDeleteI think that this article it is interesting. But I can't understand why is important a debate about it. Actually whatever the outcome, it would not change my testimony about The Book of Mormon. I taught The Book of Mormon in Institute class many years ago.My main advice to my students was pray, in order to have a own testimony.
I think this debate was important, especially for someone like me who had never read the Book of Mormon. A lot of interesting things about the book!
