  1. I think yes, dance can be a spiritual expression. To clarify I would like to refer our ancestor and to remember that they dance for the gods that they believe. They thought that dancing they would receive help from the gods. In our time, dance can have a good expression and can refer about spiritual things such as learning, or express passivity.

  2. I dont think it could be seen as spiritual. I think there is a lot of great dances that we can enjoy watching but steel I think it is not enough to be consider spiritual. I think in the scriptures that it talks about dancing to worship but I don't think it could be any like the type of dance that we se at this time.

  3. Actually, all arts are spiritual expression. As said in this article:“Great dancers are not great because of their technique, they are great because of their passion.”People dance not because they want to show their body technique, they just want to express something in their spirit.

  4. I think it will be a spiritual expression. In some country, they express their spiritual things through the dance. I don’t know the name of dance, but many autistics indicate their culture of country and traditions. For instants, we have dance for expressing our spirituals in my country, but also many country have a dance to symbolize their cultural things.

  5. I think all kinds of arts are spiritual expression including a dance, and artists are kind of spiritual people. We are inspired of their works, and their works are involved high passion and desire. For example, BYUSA president Brandon Hatch took an example of dancers in the devotional and he said "purse dreams and find passions"

  6. I always consider dancer is not only artistic but also spiritual, especially when I turned to adult. I always pursue passion and dance make me feel very strong passion. Passion can bring different spirituals. We can be motivated to do something by these spirituals.I highly agree this sentence:great dancers are not great because of their technique. They are great because of their passion. Passion is most important for a dancer because it really show a feeling and spiritual.

BYUSA president Brandon Hatch said, “Find what you are passionate about. There is a lot to be gained by getting more involved and giving back.” I think it is important to do what you like. Randy Lin

  8. This article is about last devotional at BYU and some dancer groups that performed various types of dance.
The dance began as a religiuos and espiritual expression thounsand years ago. About the question "Dance is often seen as artistic but not spiritual? my answer is "yes". Some examples of it are argentinian dance "Tango", peruvian dance "Saya" and Spanish dance "Flamenco". These are artistic expressions but not spiritual. The next question is, "Can dance be a spiritual expression?," and my answer is "without question". We have many examples like "ballet" and old dances in different countries around the world.

  9. I think that a dance it can be spiritual. It can make grow some emotions in the people that see the show. The ones that dance show as their passion and cause some effect on us. We feel inspired because of them. If we do what we feel passion about it, we will inspired others. That's its important to do what you like.

  10. I think it is an interesting way to show the spirituality. I believe that when someone dance thinking about spirituality is great, like BYU dancers and the Cougarretes. For sure, show this artistic way is one of the best ways to attract more people to the gospel, explain them what we believe and what we are proud of.

  11. Yes. Dance can be an spiritual expression. Dancers show their spirit dancing. For instance the BYU Ballroom back up tour team and the tour team, performs many different shows in different places through the year, and the main purpose of this events are to share the Gospel with the dance.

  12. I think dancing can be a spiritual expression for two reasons. First, historically dancing has represented a way to adore someone supernatural. Many echtnies groups have had their traditions to dramatize it. Second, it is a verbal communication that show people's feelings, so people can use it to show how much respect they feel for their God or beliefs.
