"If you were to provide a similar community service what would you do?"
I will provide some services on PC, fixing small problems, installing operate systems, or helping download useful software. Many people need these kinds of services, and also for me, it is easy and not cost lot of energy.
ReplyDeleteIf I were to provide a similar community service, I would establish a charity institution that help couple with marital problems. I believe in family as the most important organization in life, and parents are responsable to keep their family together through love, shelter, and protection. For that reason, I would like to help to build strong families through teaching important values such as respect, empathy, honesty, etc.
ReplyDeleteThe article introduced a barber for the homeless just as a volunteer. If I was to provide a similar community service, I could teach about Smart Phone or Computer. A few years ago, my mother wanted to learn about texting and typing in computer. I taught for her, and she was really enjoying it. I was glad too.
ReplyDeleteThis article talked about a barber who works for homeless as a volunteer in Salt lake city. If I were to provide a similar community service, I would teach children who can't go private institution because of financial problem although they need extra education. I think children are important human resource in the future, and I like children a lot. Therefore, If I have a chance to teach them as a volunteer, I will be willing to teach.

A hairdresser Stuart Stone's volunteers service for homeless people, and he enjoys doing it. He cuts homeless people's hair for free. Homeless people sign up for appointment in his barber. After haircut is done, the homeless people's attitudes change. They feel happy, younger, lifted, and look good and presentable. More importantly his service gives people hope. They have confident to look for a job after the hair cut. Stone likes doing this service, and looking the changes and differences.
ReplyDeleteIf I had the opportunity to provide a community service I would like to help people that don't know how to read and write or the people that didn't finish elementary school to finish school and get this skills and if possible help them get a professional education. because I believe that there are many people out there that have brilliant minds but they never got the chance to develop thous skills and talents.

ReplyDeleteIf I were to provide a similar community service, I would provide health awareness to people, so that they could have a healthier lifestyle. When we prevent health problems, less money is spent on treating them and people have better lives.

ReplyDeleteIf I were to provide a similar community service, I would like reading to people. I think that it is an estimulating activitie. Usually we think only in a material help about homeless, but there are activities as reading that can become many interestings.
ReplyDeleteActually I am doing a community service to a small business owners and people who wants to start their own business, teaching business insurance to them. The classes are in Spanish in the Dixon Middle school. I think just going an visit seniors centers is a good service too because usually they feel lonely.
