Meet the 'tutor kings and queens'

I don't think so, it is only the Hong Kong consumer culture, because those students are not focus on study. In China, students don't believe those young and attractive tutor, because they seem have no experiences. I think the best tutor should be wise and seems have enough experience and performances.
ReplyDeleteI do not agree with this statement. Students do not have to be attractive to be an extraordinary tutor because it depend on their talents and skills. A good tutor does not feel lower for their appearance. A good tutor believes in themselves and helps students as equal because he or she recognizes their abilities and challenges. The tutor's goal is mainly helping students to achieve their academic goals, and in so doing, he or she is progressing as well.
ReplyDeleteI don't think that young age and attractive appearance are helpful to be a top tutor. Actually, there are some famous internet instructors in Korea. Some of them are really good look, but the number is few. Most famous internet instructors have their own style to teach in one subject, not good appearance. They have unique style to teach, and they are funny. That's why they are famous for students. This article is pretty interesting for me because I have never thought that good appearances help people to be a top tutor.

The article said about "tutor kings" and "tutor queens", offering pupils a chance to improve mediocre grades. As you read the article, South Korea has a lot of institute system, and education industry is getting develop every year. In my country, we have no resources for earning money such as gas and gold something like that. We believe we have only brain. That’s why Korean parents always spend a lot of money for studying their children. Especially, in my case, I am in the U.S. and studying English for getting a good job. Before I went to here, I had been some institute. Every vacation, I have to go to institute and meet tutor. However, in this article said about appearance of tutors. In Korea, we can see some ads for tutor like the pictures easily, but their appearance is less important than them. The most important thing is their skill to improve score in some tests.
ReplyDeleteThis article has a very good point. Young people just pay atencion of what it's at the outside. So, if the tutor is very atractive and has a beautiful smile, of course he or she will have a lot of students. The students how need extra classes will chose the tutor that is atractive, they'll prefer spend study time with an atractive person that someone is not. I know it's sound bad,I'm not agree with that but it's the reality.

I agree with this statement. Students are more motivated if they are going to study with beautiful, young people. They won't miss any class. But, at the same time, students can get distract, because they will pay attention on the tutor instead of on the class.
ReplyDeleteI agree with this statement but, at the same time, I think that it is a mistake. In spite of many young student prefer to get an appointement or class with an attractive tutor, the most important is the brain. The appareance has a date ending but the intelligence not.
ReplyDeleteI agree that age and good appearance can help if you are to be selected for tutoring but. It is not the most important. To be smart and to have experience is the most important. I think that having a charisma is the best asset for a tutor.
