It said about take a picture with men’s roommates. Actually, I had good roommates last semester. They are gone now, but they were so cool. I hope taking a picture, but I couldn’t do it. I’m so sad. If I would say that, they could do it without any complaints. They always made me fun, and kind.
ReplyDeleteWhen I lived with roommates, I was very close to them. We were four girls living together. We never took a picture to put on the wall because nobody thought about that. But if one of them had had the idea, we had took a lot of pictures, for sure! We had never felt awkward. We were like sisters that spent a lot of time talking everyday about our routine and experience. We felt happy together. I have extraordinary memories from those days. I feel sad because I never took a photo of that time.
ReplyDeleteI am not too close of all of my roommates although I feel close enough to take ''family pictures'' with them. We are friends and we have a good relationship in home and I am sure that wouldn't be awkward or strange cause after all we are living together and are like a family.
ReplyDeleteI'm not that close to my roommates. I mean, they are nice girls, we share good times together but I just moved, so I think it would be a little bit strange taking a family picture.
ReplyDeleteSome male roommates decided to take pictures and hang on their rooms. They wanted to feel their apartment like their home, also decorate their rooms. It is normal to take a pictures and decorate their rooms for female roommates, however, for guys, it sounds little awkward. Mica Smith is a photographer and shots male roommate's pictures. She thinks it is so funny to see their photos.

The new roommates that I have are nice but we are not that close, so take a family picture will be estrange.But defiantly I will do it with my ex-roommates, we are very close and we became very good friends. Take a family picture sounds very funny and cute so I will do it and this work to decorate a little the apartment.

I don't know. I don't have any guy roommates in the U.S.. If I am single and I can choose my roommates, I would like to take pictures with my roommate friends. However, if I just take "family pictures" with some random roommates, I would say no. Randy Lin

Some students thought it was weird for boys to take this picture and hang on the wall.It is interesting article for me.I think it is fine, and I can accept. I want to know the reason. Is it the america culture that it is weird for boys take family picture? or is it a gay action or kind of womanlike? or some other reasons?

Generally, it is a little hard to get good relationship with roommate. But for me it is ok. I like to live with roommate and share my life with them.But in America, it is a little hard to deal with the relationship with roommate, especially when you share one bedroom. But we know we need time to become more close.Now we are used to living together and share our experiences.

I like the way they want their apartment feel like a home! I want to take a "family" picture with my roomates, too! I think it is not weird at all to take this this kind of pictures. Originally, when I saw the title, I think it is strange, but I do not think so after reading it. The idea of those students is great!

I do not live with roommates now, but when I did, I felt close enough to take family pictures with them. I don't see why male roommates can't take family pictures. Family pictures can bring them closely and feel like at home.

Anyway, taking a family picture with my roommates is little awkward for me because we are not really close each other.

Acording to this article, there are a few men who don’t want this stereotype to cut them out of making roommate memories like taking picture with roommate. But Korean men do that like woman do that. Taking picture is not different. Why is it strange or awkward? In my opnion it is fun and good memory both woman and man.
